The Skin Science Foundation is pioneering an innovative Bioinformatics Hub—a cutting-edge, open-access web platform designed to advance disease biomarker discovery in dermatology. This powerful tool provides curated bulk, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data from various inflammatory and neoplastic skin diseases, enabling researchers to identify disease biomarker and uncover novel disease mechanisms. With user-friendly visualisation tools, including dot plots, volcano plots, and heat maps, our platform simplifies complex data analysis, making it accessible to scientists and clinicians worldwide.
We believe that open science drives innovation.
A molecular cartography is shared through a global network of SSF-affiliated centres, aiming to implement the first precision medicine approach in clinical dermatology practice. Additionally, these centres will contribute data from a broad spectrum of skin diseases, rapidly expanding the cartography to include additional conditions and their respective disease endotypes.
